This construction resists kinking, hockling, and rotation under load, so the line stays easy to handle, coil, and cleat off even after repeated use in wet, salty conditions. Nylon's natural elongation gives the line strong shock-absorbing properties, letting it stretch to cushion the sudden loads a boat puts on its lines from wakes, wind gusts, and tidal surge, making it just as suitable for anchor and mooring applications as it is for everyday dockside use. Each line is spliceable, so an eye splice can be added at the end for a secure loop over a piling or cleat.
