Each rode pairs a length of soft, stretch-absorbing nylon rope with a leading section of chain at the anchor end, giving you the abrasion resistance and catenary weight of chain where it matters most while keeping the overall package lighter and easier to handle than an all-chain rode. The rope and chain sections are joined with stainless steel connecting hardware rated for saltwater use, and every rode in the line is built to Maxwell's OEM spec so it matches the gypsy profile on Maxwell windlasses without re-splicing or re-terminating.
