Sikkens Cetol Marine High Gloss delivers a rich, high-gloss, varnish-like finish for exterior marine woodwork. Formulated as an overcoat finish, it goes on easily over standard Cetol Marine or Cetol Marine Light to give bright work a smooth, reflective sheen. Because it is designed as a topcoat rather than a stand-alone coating, it is applied over a base Cetol system to complete the buildup and enhance depth and gloss.
This oil-based gloss can be applied without sanding between coats, making recoating faster and simpler. As few as three coats provide protection, followed by yearly touch-ups to keep wood looking its best. Note that this gloss does not contain built-in UV protection, so it should always be used over a UV-protective base coat.
