The Davis Instruments WindTrak Wind Vane is a lightweight, mast-mounted wind indicator that gives sailors an instant, at-a-glance read on apparent wind direction. Built around a sapphire jewel suspension bearing, the low-inertia fin responds quickly and accurately to shifts in wind, helping you trim sail and hold your line with confidence. The glass-reinforced poly-carbonate J-Base mounts to the side, top, or front of the mast, and reflector tape on both the vane and the fully adjustable tacking tabs keeps the indicator readable after dark. Wind tunnel tested to 80 knots, the WindTrak is built to hold up to real sailing conditions on dinghies, sport boats, and larger cruising sailboats alike.
