Fit the valve into the inlet suction hose near the seacock, but just above the waterline. Installed in this position, the valve prevents loss of prime in above-waterline installations, so the toilet keeps priming reliably instead of losing suction over time. On 37010-Series electric toilets installed above the waterline, it also retains water in the bowl between flushes.
