The core-to-conduit fit is tightly controlled for precise steering response, and the cable delivers a quick 3 turns lock-to-lock at the helm.

Construction is built for the marine environment: the outer jacket is high-density polyethylene (HDPE), chosen for its abrasion resistance and high resistance to water penetration, while the cable output end is stainless steel for corrosion resistance and long-term durability. A trapped nut on the cable end stays in place during routing to make installation easier. The cable connects to a standard 3/4 inch round tapered steering shaft and meets A.B.Y.C.
